PS3 3D?

I see even ONE MGS4 spoiler and I'll kill you all. Fact.

PS3 3D?

Postby Zeta on Tue Jan 20, 2009 4:32 am

Apparently, Sony is ready to enter the new millenium big time, rescuing the forgotten 3-D glasses and stuff, updating and revamping it to make games "leap from the screen".

"According to Neil Schneider, President and CEO of Meant to be Seen (MTBS), Blitz Games Studios has confirmed that Sony “fully intends” to support stereoscopic 3D gaming and Blu-ray 3D on PS3 in 2009 with their Blitz Tech engine.

Stereoscopic 3D is the ability to display visible depth through two dimensional media. According to MTBS, stereoscopic 3D has proven to be successful in cinema with movies like Beowulf, U23D, and Hannah Montana, earning 2:1 and 3:1 revenue compared to traditional 2D theaters"

The gizmo was showed at CES 2009 and people who were there and tried it, said that "there's no turning back (once you tried it)"

Here's a picture of how it looks without the glasses:

And one of the glasses themselves:

(There is none, however, of how it looks WITH the glasses on, of course, 'cos it's impossible to do)
